Real discussion...anyone...anyone...

Okay,

So, I want to have a REAL book club discussion about this read. How did you feel about Edward and Bella's relationship? Can it survive the whole vampire human thing? Would it really work for her to become a vampire? Wouldn't that mean that she would have to give up everything she knows to do that. Wouldn't her family suffer? To me it almost feels like a teenager first relationship at this point. It feels a bit rash to jump into immortality at this point. What if she was not able to curb her apatite once she was a vampire? Would she become a killer? I don't think she could really know what it is like until it was too late.

Worth Devouring!

WOW...the description of this book does not do it justice! I mean really....a love story about vampires...not typically something I would admit I liked. This book was fabulous! I devoured it! I literally could NOT stop reading. I knew I would not sleep anyway even if I tried, so I stayed up until 3:00 am finishing it.
I read the preview of book two this morning thinking that I would just try to get the book the next time I was in town. The last page of the preview left a baited hook dangled so close that I wanted to go into town to get it IMMEDIATELY! I HIGHLY recommend getting up the second book to read! I just hope it will hold up my my expectations!

So...I FINALLY got the book. After weeks I finally decided that I was never going to get my hands on it through the library, so while Deseret Book had a 20% off store wide sale I bought it. Keep in mind that I only purchased this book 24 hours ago, and I haven't had a lot of time to read so far. I am about 100 pages in, and I just can't stop turning the pages! So far this book is addicting. I will most likely be done with it by Monday.

Twilight...SPOILERS, don't read unless you've FINISHED the book!!

Oh, my goodness, ladies!! I LOVED this book!! I couldn't stop reading it until I had finished. (I started it on a Sunday night, and finished Tuesday morning!)
It was a quick read with LOTS of twists and turns.
The part that intrigued me was when Bella was bitten by James. I was secretly hoping that she would turn into a vampire so that she could be with Edward. But when he drank back the poison, I was sadly disappointed.

A New Book Group

So we can keep our minds alive (even with the arrival of children...) we are starting this book club.
This month (or however long we decide to do this thing) the book is Twilight by Stephanie Meyer.
